Fossilized or fossil wood is a usually petrified remain that clearly preserve patterns and other details from the original wood structure. In many cases, the fossil is not made of a simple piece of wood, but contains fragments from the entire tree or forest. This can happen in cases where forests were covered by volcanic lava or ash, so that the wood was protected from decay and then fossilized over the years.
All minerals used for the creation of our kombolois are mostly gemstones used to craft jewelry. Please treat your komboloi with care. Inclusions, cracks and breakage surfaces are a natural phenomenon and should never be associated with wear and tear.
